Khan Academy: Salman Khan
In my opinion I think this is an awesome tool. I like that its open for the public so that students who struggle in certain math sections can get the help that they need. Not only is this great for students but it is also great for teachers to use. Mr. Khan has made is available for teachers to use a diagram of their students by having different colors represent if a student has mastered a subject, needing some help or just stuck. He has made these videos for students to use to help them understand step by step how to do whatever they need help on. He has received positive comments on his videos for people who have children that are autistic that have benefited from these videos and website. I would definitely recommend this to my students and their parent as well as use it in my classroom.

I personally don't think it is fair for the students who can't financially pay for school. There are so many people work hard for scholarships that deserve to go to school that can't because of some budget cuts.K-12 student database jazzes tech startups, spooks parentshttp://www.reuters.com/article/2013/03/03/us-education-database-idUSBRE92204W20130303
I personally would not want my child's information being recorded for people to see. The parents don't have a say about their child's private information being put on this database. With today's society there is to much hacking going on and information being stolen. I think this is a bad idea.
